Obsessions

Okay so Obsessions is a band full of the oldies. Yes i know, very lame, but these guys actually do some good stuff! They are a rock band that do there own versions of old rock songs, and also have played some more recent songs
There are six members of the band. They are:                                   

Steve - Vocals

Liz - Drums

Wendey - Back-up vocals
Chris - Guitar

Neil - Guitar

Andrew - Bass.

The band Obsessions have been performing in and around Canberra since the end of 2009 at charity events, parties, pubs, festivals and jam sessions. They have also been heard on radio interviews by the ABC.

They have two upcoming gigs at the Calwell tavern (Saturday 25th June 8:00pm and Friday 22nd July 8:30pm) and one other at the Old Canberra Inn (Saturday 13th August 8:30pm)

Drawing North

Drawing North are an awesome rock band in formed originally in Canberra. They have had great success in the past few years. The members of the band are Michael - Vocals, Jake - Bass, Ethan - Guitar, Drew - Drums and Chad - Guitar. Their genre is Indie/ Pop Punk/ Rock.
Two of the next upcoming performances from these great musicians are:
Annandale Hotel, Sydney Australia - 26th May & 19th June.

Phuzion

Phuzion is a brand new band that consists of two Australian twins, Brii and Coe.
They have been singing and playing music for most of their lives, but they had a boost in fame when they entered the "Battle of the Bands" fundraiser for the RSPCA in October last year.
They came first in their heat and went through to the finals, and performed brilliantly.

However, since this event they have been performing at many events and gigs as well as on live radio and at a previous "Radiers" game.

Music workshops

In Canberra there is a great event that runs every second Friday night at the Deakin Sports Club, and is now in its fourth year running. This is an event which lets any music lover to come along and perform and watch other young amatures show their skills. Any member of the public is welcome, to bring their own instrument or voice and to have a good time.
The idea is to show up and register your name and any song you would like to perform, and the participants of the night will take turns in performing a fantastic live show!
The Canberra music workshop is run and was created by Andrew Rickard.
